Camp Tygart is one of the first places I recall having a direct experience with God, when I was just 11-years-old. Decades later, God saw fit for me to return as the camp's director. This place has a special meaning for me, as it does for countless others. It is, indeed, holy ground.
It is my desire, along with our board of trustees, to see Camp Tygart utilized by God as a major source of spiritual renewal and rejuvenation for residents across South Georgia and beyond; children, youth, and adults alike. We offer spaces for retreats, trainings, spiritual direction, workshops, worship services, camps, weddings, family reunions, pool parties, and more.
Throughout the year, you'll find us hosting events covering Christian education, spiritual formation and growth, and many other topics meant to enhance our lives with Christ. And, of course, we love our summer camps and campers!
Take some time to peruse our website to get a better feel of who we are and what we have to offer here at Camp Tygart, and please feel free to contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or just want to find out more.
May God continue to overwhelm you with grace and love!
